Specialist Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Catherine is a Fully accredited and registered British Association of Cognitive & Behavioural Psychotherapy (BABCP) therapist since 2012 also trained in advanced contextual CBT approaches. She accepts self-referrals and also works with solicitors, medico-legal organisations, all major insurance companies and employment assistance programmes.
CBT is an evidenced based talking therapy designed to create a healthier relationship between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours. As a result those suffering from a range of depression or anxiety problems have a space to better understand their presenting difficulties and learn new ways to overcome their distress. CBT empowers you from the beginning as it offers a range of clinically effective skills and tools that can be used for life helping you to connect to values based living and the life important to you. Sessions range from 3-20 depending on the presenting problem and severity. A treatment plan to suit your needs is discussed and agreed together at an initial assessment.

What happens next?
Book an initial assessment consultation with Catherine which will involve a discussion about the presenting problems, detailed history gathering, introduction to the CBT approach and agree a treatment plan together. All sessions are 1hr and are usually weekly unless specified otherwise.
